Kde začať..? Ako každý chlapec prechádzajúci zložitým procesom dospievania aj ja som mal hlavu plnú smelých plánov, veľkých ilúzií a odhodlania niečo dokázať. Sám neviem čo presne som chcel vtedy dokázať, to asi vôbec nebolo podstatné. Podstatná bola viera v seba samého…
Postupne ako roky plynuli a skúsenosti s reálnym životom pribúdali, úbúdalo aj ideálov. Nebola to ľahká doba, komunizmus bol veľká sviňa. Odmeňoval podliezavosť a trestal charakter.. Umenie a tvorivosť sa zdali byť východiskom z tejto reality, ktorá začínala byť pritesná. Svet fotografie sa mi otvoril na strednej škole počas štúdia na SOUCH, kde som najprv len z rozmaru začal navštevovať fotokrúžok. Po krátkom čase ma ale svet tmavej komory, výparov chemikálií a čarovný zrod čiernobielych obrázkov na bielom papieri úplne očaril. Keďže skromný rodinný rozpočet by kvalitný fotoaparát v tých časoch asi zruinoval, musel mi na začiatok stačiť sovietsky fotoaparát Vilia Auto, ktorý ako fotografické minimum schválil aj vedúci krúžku.
A tak sa vtedy pred mnohými rokmi mohla začať dlhá a náročná cesta za plnením dávno zabudnutých plánov a znova pocítenou túžbou niečo zmeniť, ktorá neutícha ešte ani dnes…
